October update

Dear Members,

The LMT board is sending out this email to keep the membership informed on what is happening within the club.

The board met this past week on October 8th for our monthly meeting and decided there would not be an October membership meeting due to the Covid 19 virus. We will discuss future meetings and keep you, the membership, informed.

As a board, we would like to let you know what has happened over the past six months to improve our organization and keep the LMT moving forward. We now have a new 2020 Tucker trail groomer and recently purchased a 2014 Tucker with fairly low hours in good condition. All of the groomer drivers will be participating in a training and safety course, along with hands-on instruction in the Tuckers before the grooming season begins. Also, we sold our T-7 New Holland tractor to make room for the Tuckers.

We will begin trail work this week, using our remaining New Holland tractor, which is set up with our brushing equipment, and will also use our Terex (with back hoe and bucket) to improve and maintain our trail system. Also, we will be using our Chevy truck, (donated by Donna Velie) to do signage on our trails. Dave Velie Jr. has modified his Dad’s old truck to be very functional in signing our trails.

We would like to thank our dedicated members for helping clean up and organize our maintenance shop, storage building, and grounds in Wabeno. A new heating system will soon be installed in our maintenance shop.

We would also like to thank those of you who have made donations to support the LMT to replace our lost fund-raising revenue due to the Booyah Bash being cancelled. Donations may be mailed to LMT, P.O. Box 7, Wabeno, WI 54566.

Our annual Fall Brushing Day is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, November 7th. We will keep you informed via email and on this website with further details.

We hope you found this update to be informative. If you have any questions, you can email us at lumberjackmemorialtrails579@gmail.com

Thank you and THINK SNOW!!

Sincerely,
